Tollywood.net reported in a report that Rishabh Shetty played the lead role in the film. He received a fee of Rs 4 crore for performing and directing. Pramod Shetty played the role of Sudhakar in this film. He received a remuneration of 60 lakh rupees.





Actor Kishore will be seen in the role of forest officer Muralidhar. And for this he had to pay 1 crore rupees. Actress Saptami Gowda portrays the character of Leela. He took Rs.1 crore. Achyat Kumar played the role of Devendra, the main antagonist of the film and the descendant of the king. For this, he took a remuneration of 40 lakh rupees.

“Kantara” was released in 250 theaters across Karnataka on September 30. It was released simultaneously in the US, UK, Europe, Middle East and Australia. After the success of Kannada, the director announced the dubbing in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam. As expected, it was released in Hindi on October 14, Telugu and Tamil on October 15. The Hindi version was originally announced for release on over 800 screens in India; It was then released on 2500 screens.

The word ‘Kantara’ means deep forest. The story of the film is based on the local villager deity “Bhuta”. The director showed it for three different periods. Director Rishabh Shetty also wrote the screenplay for the film “Kantara” produced by Humble Films.
