WORLD Atto 3 electric SUV: Chinese electric car manufacturer BYD (Build Your Dream) has launched the new Atto 3 electric SUV in India. This is the company’s second vehicle in India. Previously, the company released its E6 electric minivan in the Indian market. In the country, this car will compete with MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona EV. BYD will bring the car into the country via the SKD (Semi-Knocked Down) route. The latter will be manufactured at the Sriperambudur factory near Chennai.

BYD Atto 3: How powerful will the car’s engine be?

Atto 3 has a 60.49 kWh battery. This battery is capable of giving a range of 521 km. At least that’s what the company claims. The car uses a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, capable of producing 201 hp of peak power and 310 Nm of torque. This car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds.

BYD Atto 3: You will find many features in this car

The EV includes a 5-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. Four-way adjustable front seat is included. Heated driver and front passenger seats, seat belt reminder system, 6-way power driver’s seat, hill descent control, 6 airbags, automatic air conditioning.

BYD Atto 3: More information on this executive car
The features of the car do not end there. You will get 360 degree camera, traction control system, tire pressure monitoring system, PM 2.5 air filter, synthetic leather seats, wireless phone charging, roof panoramic opening, rear parking sensor, electronic speed alert system, electronic stability program, brake force distribution. Features include anti-lock braking system, Level 2 ADAS, flat-bottom steering with mounted controls. Pricing for this car will be unveiled in January 2023. Tata Nex EV can give this car some tough competition in India. However, in terms of price, this Chinese EV may be cheaper than Hyundai and Tata EVs.
