Popular Bollywood comedian Raju Srivastava (58) has died. He was under treatment in the hospital for about a month and a half.

He breathed his last at AIIMS Hospital in Delhi at 10.30am on Wednesday September 21.

Raju’s brother Deepu confirmed the news to Indian outlet Indian Express, saying, “He (Raju) passed away on Wednesday morning, his daughter Antara told me. ‘

Raju’s death cast a shadow of mourning over Bollywood and Indian television. Many people, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, expressed their condolences.

Raju traveled to Delhi from Mumbai to meet with political leaders. On August 10, Raju Srivastava suffered a heart attack while exercising at a gym. After that, he was admitted to AIIMS Hospital, Delhi. He had been on the ventilator for a long time. But in the end, the life of the magician of laughter was not saved.

Raju Srivastava was born on December 25, 1963 in Kanpur. Father Rameshchandra Srivastava was a famous poet from Kanpur. He named his son Satyaprakash Srivastava. But everyone called him Raju. He could imitate people he had known since childhood. He could make anyone laugh in any way possible. Raju dreamed of becoming an actor.

Raju moved to Mumbai due to the attraction of Bollywood. He did not have his chance at the cinema in the early eighties. In 1988 he played a small role in the movie ‘Tezab’. He was also in the movie ‘Mayane Pyaar Kiya’. Since then, Raju has appeared in supporting roles in numerous films.

But he was more popular on stage. Raju became the runner-up for the show “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge”. His sense of humor spread widely. He became very popular.
