After news of the death of legendary lyricist, composer, director Gazi Mazharul Anwar, popular movie actors Shakib Khan, Bapparaj, Anant Jalil, Samrat, actress Varsha, singer Monir Khan were seen at the uni of the capital.

They went to the hospital and spoke to Gazi Mazharul Anwar’s son, Upal, and consoled him.

Apart from that, Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Atiqul Islam and BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir visited the hospital.

Gazi Mazharul Anwar’s son, Sarfraz Anwar Upal, told reporters at United Hospital in the capital on Sunday afternoon that Gazi Mazharul Anwar would be buried at Banani Cemetery on Monday. There he will rest in his mother’s grave. The singer’s body will be taken to the Central Shaheed Minar to pay respects at 11 a.m. Monday; It will then be transferred to the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC). The first funeral will take place there.

Gazi Mazharul Anwar died on the way to hospital at around 6.30am on Sunday September 4th. He was 79 years old.

We know that he suffered from an acidity problem for a few days. He was taken to hospital when he felt unwell this morning.

Gazi Mazharul Anwar is the lyricist for many songs including ‘Joy Bangla Banglar Joy’, ‘Ektara tui deshe katha bal re eber bal’, ‘Ekbar jaa de amar kotto sonar gaon’, ‘Writing notation in the song book’, ‘Akash hai hai ekarash neel’. . He received the Ekushey Padak in 2002 and the Freedom Award in 2021. The five-time National Film Award-winning lyricist-producer has composed over 20,000 songs.

Gazi Mazharul Anwar is the composer of many popular movie songs and timeless patriotic songs. He was born on February 22, 1943 in Taleshwar village of Daudkandi Upazila, Comilla.

From 1964, Ghazi Mazharul Anwar started writing songs for what was then Radio Pakistan. He has written songs over the years. In his songs, the war of liberation, patriotism, nature, the meaning of life, love, hate, love and feelings appeared. So far, the number of songs composed by him is more than 20,000. He has directed and produced several popular Dhakai movies.

The first film “Nantu Ghatak” directed by Gazi Mazharul Anwar was released in 1982. The number of films directed by him is 41.
