New Hero scooter: Hero Motocorp has launched a new 110cc scooter. The scooter is called Hero Xoom, with prices starting at Rs 68,599 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Hero’s Xoom scooter was released in three variants – LX, VX and ZX. Among them, the mid-range VX model is priced at Rs 71,799 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the high-end ZX variant is priced at Rs 76,699 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Reservations for the Hero Xoom scooter will start from February 1, 2023. This is Hero’s third gearless scooter after Maestro Edge and Pleasure Plus.

Hero Xoom: available in the main colors

The Hero Xoom scooter will be available in India in a total of five colors – Polyester Blue, Black, Matte Abrax Orange, Pearl Silver White and Sports Red. Hero’s latest scooter can compete with the Hona Dio in this price range.

Xoom Heroes: Design

The Hero Xoom scooter comes with a cornering light feature, a first for a scooter in this segment. The scooter is equipped with apron-mounted projector LED headlights, X-shaped LED daytime running lights, handle-mounted turn signals and 12-inch alloy wheels. Hero’s Xoom scooter features an integrated rear handle for passenger comfort.

Hero Xoom: features

The new Hero Xoom scooter features XTEC technology, a front glove box with USB charger, digital speedometer, Bluetooth connectivity and ample underseat storage along with an LED headlight. The weight of the scooter is only 108 kg and the fuel tank capacity is 5.2 liters.

Hero Xoom: suspension and braking

The scooter has front hydraulic shock absorbers for suspension. On the back of the Hero Xoom is a spring-loaded hydraulic shock absorber with unit oscillation. For braking, the scooter has a 190mm disc brake / 130mm drum brake at the front. Also at the rear is a 130mm drum brake. The scooter also has an integrated braking system (IBS).

Mechanically, the Maestro Edge 110cc is largely similar to the Hero Xoom scooter. Power is provided by the 110.9cc single-cylinder air-cooled fuel-injected engine, which develops 8.05hp at 7,250rpm and produces 8.70Nm of torque at 5,750rpm. This engine is associated with a CVT.
