‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ actor dies

Popular Bollywood actor Vikram Gokhale is no more. He died on Wednesday evening at Dinnath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune. He was 82 years old.

He was admitted to this hospital in Pune within the last 15 days. Since he was admitted to the hospital, his physical condition has steadily deteriorated. On Wednesday morning, the doctors at the hospital informed that his condition was very critical. The actor left the country without returning overnight.

According to news agency sources, his body will be kept at Balgandharva Shrine in Pune for the time being. His body will be removed there for the last rites. Many mourned his death.

Not only Vikram, many members of his family were associated with the acting world. His father Chandrakant Gokhale was a Marathi film and theater actor. Her grandmother was an actress. Vikram was also popular in the world of Marathi cinema. Vikram lived in Pune with his wife. He also ran a theater school there.

Vikram entered Bollywood in 1976 at the age of 26. Amitabh Bachchan’s starring Parwana was Vikram’s first film. Vikram was recently seen in ‘Nikamma’. The film starred Shilpa Shetty and Abhimanyu Dashani in the lead roles.

Vikram came into the limelight playing the role of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father in the movie “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam”. His performances in movies like ‘Dil Se’, ‘Bhoolbulaiya’, ‘Hitchki’, ‘Mission Mangal’ and others are still in the memories of the public. He won India’s National Best Actor Award for his performance in the Marathi film “Anumati”.
