I liked Bangabandhu’s biopic as much as I saw it, PM says
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina mentioned that she liked the biopic of the father of the nation Bangabandhu as much as she had seen it. He said, our artists performed well. And even if we talk a little about the trailer, we must remember that if the trailer was not presentable, it would not have been authorized to be screened in a festival as important as the Cannes Film Festival .
He said this in response to a question about the Bangabandhu biopic at a press conference on Wednesday.
In addition to the written statement at the press conference, the Prime Minister answered various questions from journalists. At that time, a reporter asked him if he had seen the final copy of Bangabandhu’s biopic ‘Mujib: The Making of a Nation’ and when will the movie be released?
In response, Sheikh Hasina said, “After the trailer was released, discussions were raised about the March 26 speech. In this case, what I feel is that it is a little difficult to accept the way in which one sees or saw the Father of the Nation in his speech of March 26. But also think that if the trailer was not good, it would not have been accepted at the Cannes Film Festival.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina briefed on the current status of the film and said, “After the film started, filming was stopped for a long time due to Corona. Finally, filming wrapped in India and Bangladesh. Editing is now underway. We try to show the film at the right time.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has insisted that ‘Mujib: The Making of a Nation’ is a movie and should be considered a movie. Highlighting that the country’s actors performed well in the film, the Prime Minister said, “Acting is very difficult. When you make a character, it is very difficult to accept this character, to create this feeling. Those who have played here, in our country, have done very well.
