The Queen star has lambasted its director Ayan Mukherjee for not releasing Brahmastra. He also said tickets were bought to show blockbuster movies.

“Those who call Brahmastra director Ayan Mukerji a genius should go to jail immediately,” Kangana wrote on Instagram.

Bollywood Hungama quoted Kangana as saying that Ayan hurt religious feelings by changing Ranveer’s character name from “Jalaluddin Rumi” to “Shiva”.

Calling director Ayan a “beneficiary”, Kangana said the director of Brahmastra asked directors, screenwriters and actors from across the big screen south to promote his film. However, he did not give qualified and talented people the opportunity to work in Brahmastra.

Kangana alleged that Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, which took a century to make, took around 400 days to shoot. In addition, during this long period, he changed about 14 DOP (director of photography) and 85 assistant directors. And poured 600 crores of rupees into “ashes”.

Director Ayan Mukherjee announced Brahmastra in 2014 but filming began in February 2018.

Brahmastra is said to be the most expensive Hindi film of all time. Karan Johar’s Brahmastra: Part One Shiva has a budget of Rs 410 crore without promotion.
