Mahindra XUV 400 EV: Mahindra has unveiled its first electric vehicle in India. The car’s test drive started from December this year, but the official launch will take place in January 2023.

The Mahindra XUV 400 electric vehicle (EV) has been launched in India. Mahindra said the car will soon reach the cars of electric car enthusiasts in the country. When is the launch?
Customers can test drive the XUV 400 from December this year. Pricing for Mahindra’s first electric car will be announced in January 2023 and reservations will start from then. Mahindra XUV 400 will be launched in 16 cities nationwide in the first phase. The list includes Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Goa, Jaipur, Surat, Nagpur, Trivandrum, Nasik, Chandigarh and Kochi.
How is the XUV 400 battery?
Mahindra’s XUV 400 is powered by a 39.4 kWh battery, which is waterproof and dustproof. This heavy duty battery is made in India and comes complete with battery cooler and heater. A 50kWh DC fast charger is provided, which can charge the battery to 80% in just 50 minutes. By contrast, using a 7.2kW/32A socket will only take 6 hours 30 minutes to fully charge. Additionally, using a 3.3kW/16A household outlet will take 13 hours to charge.
What is the range of the XUV 400?
The Mahindra XUV400 electric car has a range of 456 km. This has been claimed by MIDC or Indian Driving Cycle. Mahindra also offers one-pedal driving with this car, so the car can brake and regenerate power automatically when the driver lifts the throttle. Mahindra calls it “animated mode”.
What does the XUV 400 look like?
The XUV 400 electric car has a wheelbase of 2600mm, which is the same as the XUV 300. It is 4200mm long, 1821mm wide and 1634mm high. This means that the XUV 400 electric vehicle is the most spacious vehicle in the electric SUV segment. The car features the Twins-Peak logo in a copper finish. The Mahindra XUV 400 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.3 seconds. Its PSM electric motor can produce a maximum power of 147 hp and 310 Nm of maximum torque. Mahindra XUV400 has a top speed of 150 km/h. There are three drive modes based on throttle response, rev response and steering feel of the car. It has three driving modes: Fun, Fast and Fearless.
