A source confirmed receipt of the letter to the ministry and said that today (January 24) there is a meeting at the Ministry of Information at 3 p.m. on Tuesday. At this meeting, it can be confirmed whether “Pathan” will be released in Bangladesh or not. If there is a positive outcome at the meeting, the film will be released in Bangladesh two days after its release in India as per the guidelines of the SAFTA agreement.
The SAARC Free Trade Agreement is abbreviated as SAFTA in English. This agreement was signed in January 2004 in Islamabad. Although there is an agreement between all SAARC countries, only films from Calcutta India came, some Hindi films were also brought.
