Sudden death of Salman Khan’s “body double”
Sagar Pandey made a fit body and six pack like Bollywood superstar Salman Khan by working out in the gym. And this gym became his future.
He died of a heart attack while going to the gym. He was 50 years old.
Sagar Pandey was Salman’s doppelganger. Sagar has acted as a look-alike in almost fifty Salman movies including popular movies like “Tubelight”, “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”, “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo”, “Dabangg”.
Salman Khan himself confirmed the death of his lookalike on Instagram. Boli Bhaijaan has expressed his deep sorrow by posting a photo taken with Sagar Pandey. He also wished for peace of his soul.
According to Indian media, Sagar felt severe pain in his chest while working out in the gym in Mumbai on Friday. He was admitted to Hriday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray Trauma Care Hindu Municipal Hospital in Yogeshwari. Doctors pronounced him dead there.
Doctors said Sagar Pandey died of cardiac arrest before being taken to hospital.
Sagar Pandey moved to Mumbai from Uttar Pradesh with the dream of becoming an actor. Later it became Salman’s “body double”.
Bollywood comedian Raju Srivastava died within a month after suffering a heart attack while hitting the gym recently. Earlier, Bigg Boss star Siddharth Shukla suffered a heart attack in the gym.
Note that body double is a well-known term in movies. To use a doppelganger is to act in place of the hero and heroine with someone who has a similar physical structure.
Body doubles are used in movies for a variety of reasons. Body doubles are used in nude scenes due to the heroine’s discomfort, sometimes due to particular physical conditions.
Body doubles are also used to capture important scenes in the absence of the hero and heroine.
A body double is also used to show the same character twice in the same camera frame or to show two characters who look alike.
