‘Taka Khaye’ hits Brahmastra, says director
‘Taka Khaye’ is a Brahmastra hit, says director Vivek Agnihotri
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, “Brahmastra”, are the face of Bollywood. According to sources, the Ayan Mukherjee-directed film collected Rs 200 crore across the country within ten days of its release. And 360 crore rupees were withdrawn globally. After a long time, these earnings are showing good day in Bollywood.
However, even though this Brahmastra income is a boon for Bollywood, Vivek Agnihotri, the director of ‘The Kashmir Files’ movie, is not at all happy about it. Vivek’s film The Kashmir Files was released on March 11 this year. And the total collection of this movie exceeded 340 crores, the income of Brahmastra.
Perhaps because he missed the record, this time director Vivek fired on the microblogging site Twitter.
He said: “I don’t know how they pushed back ‘The Kashmir Files’. Stick, cane, hockey stick… or AK47 or stone? With what? Let Bollywood movies compete. Leave me alone. I’m not in this stupid race. Thank you.’
At the moment, the debate around the Bollywood boycott request is raging on social networks. Aamir Khan’s ‘Lal Singh Chadda’ was recently seen falling in the face. On the other hand, Vivek’s tweet is not the first time. Previously, he had strongly criticized Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. Vivek said of them, “As long as there are kings, badshas and brothers in Bollywood, it will flow.”
