The film “Damal” was inspired by the independent Bengali football team formed during the Great War of Liberation in 1971. The “Damal” team, led by Raihan Rafi, the director of the film, and Shariful Raj, the actor popular at the time, met the Bangladesh women’s football team, who won the SAFF championship, on Wednesday afternoon.

The team of ‘Damaal’, which is awaiting its release on October 28, attended the reception of the champion footballers by Channel I.

The film is produced by Impress Telefilm; For this reason, Director Raihan Rafi, Shariful Raj, Rashed Mamun Apu, Sumit Sengupta and many more attended the event and hosted the heroines at every event including the cake cutting.

The champion footballers were delighted to receive the “Damal” team during the event. Actor Shariful Raj was at the center of this excitement. The heroines took a selfie with him.

Shariful Raj acted as the captain of Bengal Independent Football Team in the movie “Damal”. Speaking of the excitement around her, Raj told NTV Online, “The champion girls told me that they had seen our film ‘Paraan’. I urged them to watch ‘Damaal’.”

Shariful Raj also added, “I hoisted the country’s flag in the movie, they became champions and hoisted the country’s flag to the world.” I myself am very happy to spend time with them.

The duo of Shariful Raj and Vidya Sinha Mim who were in talks for the movie ‘Paran’ will be seen again in this movie ‘Damaal’. The star-studded film also stars Siam Ahmed, Sumit Sengupta, Shahnaz Sumi, Rashed Mamun Apu, Barada Mithu, Pooja Agnes Cruz, Samia Athai, Sarwat Azad Barshti, Kaesh Chowdhury, Azam Khan, Shayed Babu, AK Azad Setu, Samu Chowdhury, Milli Bashar, Nazifa Bashar, Majnoon Mizan, Syed Nazmul Saqib, Lenin, Rubal Lodi, Limon and many more.

The film is directed by Raihan Rafi. Commenting on the film, he said, “It’s one of my dream projects. Because this is the great war of liberation. I don’t think that was done before with the war of liberation. I hope those who have seen ‘Paraan’ will get a bigger surprise.”

Raihan Rafi and Nazim Ud Daula co-scripted it based on the story by children’s writer and Impress Telefilm General Manager Faridur Reza Sagar.
