This is why Clooney returned 357 crore rupees

Hollywood star George Clooney is one of the richest actors in the world. He has a fortune of 500 million dollars. Who does not know his fame all over the world. But despite so much success, he does not compromise at all with his morals. The biggest example – turning down a $35 million offer for an ad!

The incident happened last year. An airline approached him with an advertising proposal. The company wanted to pay George Clooney $35 million for a single day’s work. That is more than 357 million rupees in Bangladeshi currency!

But Clooney did not accept this tempting offer. Why? The actor said it again. He revealed the affair while attending the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2022.

Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor asked him at the event, “You were offered $35 million for just one day’s work.” But you refused this offer. Is it true?’

George Clooney replied: “Yes, indeed. I have already spoken about it. Any time someone offers a large sum of money, it could mean they are trying to launder something. Many amazing people have been jailed in Saudi Arabia for speaking out about women’s rights, and someone is taking millions of dollars to whitewash this issue. I have trouble doing it.

To make his statement clearer, George Clooney said: ‘I understand that the person who wants to give me money is violating human rights. I have no objection to taking this money to improve his image, using my honor.

George also had a long chat with his wife Amal Clooney about this huge proposal. The actor commented, “We thought if the money could be put to good use in a foundation. But there’s a price here, it’s my reputation. My parents taught me not to be marketable.

In a report by The Guardian last year, George Clooney said: “If this job robs me of a minute of sleep, it isn’t worth it.”

Incidentally, George Clooney was last seen in the movie ‘Ticket to Paradise’. It came out last September.
