TRAI Data Vodafone Idea loses subscribers as Jio and Airtel boost user count

Mobile subscriber: The total number of mobile subscribers in India fell by 3.6 million in September, according to the TRAI report. Telecommunications company Vodafone Idea has seen a decline in subscribers. But the two rival companies of this telecommunications company Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel have increased their number of subscribers every month. Reliance Jio added 7.2 lakh wireless subscribers in September. On the other hand, telecom company Bharti Airtel increased the number of mobile users by 4.12 lakh.

Incidentally, when Reliance Jio was ahead of all other telecom companies in terms of number of subscribers in September, its total number of subscribers was less than 32.81 lakh, the number of subscribers that Reliance Jio received in august. On the other hand, the number of subscribers of Vodafone Idea has decreased by around 40 lakhs. In the month of September, the basic subscriber of this telecom company fell to 24.91 crore. The total number of wireless subscribers increased from 1,149.11 million to 1,145.45 million between late August and late September. This reduction amounts to approximately 0.32% per month. This information was advanced by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) during the presentation of the subscription data report for the month of September.

According to statistics, the number of telephone subscribers in India (mobile and landline together) has decreased by around 117.19 crores. These figures are available at the end of September. The decrease amounts to approximately 0.27% per month. According to TRAI, the total number of broadband subscribers rose to 81.6 crores. These figures were published at the end of September. Other than that, the monthly growth rate is around 0.28%. The top five service providers together accounted for 98.36% market share of broadband subscribers at the end of September. The list includes Reliance Jio Infocomm (426.80 million), Bharti Airtel (225.09 million), Vodafone Idea (123.20 million), BSNL (25.62 million) and Atria Convergence (2.14 million). Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel have already launched 5G services in India. However, there is no specific information on when Vodafone Idea will launch 5G services in India. On the other hand, BSNL will launch 4G service in the 5G era.
