Two journalists were assaulted by drug traffickers in Karwan Bazar

Two journalists from the private television channel SATV were assaulted by drug traffickers. They also vandalized television cars and cameras. However, the identity of the drug dealers who attacked could not be confirmed.

The two injured journalists are Taifur Rahman Tuhin, SATV journalist and member of the Crime Reporters Association of Bangladesh (CRAB) and cameraman TH Muslim.

The attack took place in the Karwan Bazar district of the capital on Tuesday afternoon, January 24.

Taifur Rahman Tuhin, who was injured in the attack by drug dealers, said he and his cameraman were attacked by drug dealers at Karuran Bazar after completing a RAB program. Bricks thrown by drug traffickers smashed car windows and injured them. However, Tuhin could not say anything about the identity of the drug traffickers.

Meanwhile, the organization strongly protested the attack on Taifur Rahman Tuhin, a member of the Crime Reporters Association of Bangladesh (CRAB). Executive committee leaders including CRAB President Mirza Mehdi Tamal and Secretary General Mamunur Rashid demanded the arrest of the criminals in this incident.
