Updated 2022 version of Tata Tigor EV launched, now priced at Rs 12.49 lakh with 315km range

A new version of the Tata Tigor EV has been launched, with a much higher range than the previous model. Tata’s new electric vehicle is called the 2022 Tata Tigor EV, which was launched in the country at Rs 12.49 lakh. The new Tigor EV model debuted in four versions – XE, XT, XZ+ and XZ+ LUX. The updated version of the Tiger EV now has 10 new features and an extended range of 315 km on a single charge.

The Tata Tigor EV 2022 has arrived with a new magnetic color variant. Key features of the car include leatherette upholstery, leather-wrapped steering wheel, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights and cruise control. The all-electric sedan comes in the form of multi-mode regeneration, connected car technology – Zconnect, smartwatch connectivity, iTPMS and tire puncture repair kit.

Similar to what the company did with the Nexon EV Prime, Tata Motors will also provide updated Tigor EV drivers with a software update. Meanwhile, those who own the old Tigr EV will get all the features of the new updated model over-the-air. In particular, older Tigor EV drivers can upgrade their vehicles with multi-mode regeneration, iTPMS and tire puncture repair kits.

Additionally, existing XZ+ and XZ+ DT customers can also benefit from the smartwatch connectivity upgrade. Now the question is, when will old Tigor EV owners get all the features of the new Tigor EV via OTA update? The service can be used at any Tata Motors authorized service center from December 20, 2022, the company said.

In addition, this Tata Tigor EV 2022 is powered by a 26 kWh battery with IP67 certification. The Tata Tiago EV 2022 is capable of delivering an ARAI-certified range of 315km on a single charge. It has a maximum power of 74 hp and a maximum torque of 170 Nm.
